Happy Birthday Bob!!

Sunday was Bob's birthday. We had a very nice relaxing day together. We were all kind of under the weather so got up late, got dressed, headed to a late lunch or early dinner, however you would prefer to look at it. We went to Cracker Barrel and it was delicious!! We then headed out to the Parkway and shot all kinds of pics of the changing foliage. There is color popping up everywhere but we aren't quite at the peak of color just yet. We then picked up Bob's b-day cake & ice cream and headed home. It was a nice day over all. Pretty chilly for this time of year but a beautiful day in spite of the cold weather!

Hummingbirds

My new found passion is bird watching! Not just any ole bird, I love to watch the humming bird. Who knew I would be the type to sit on my front porch waiting with great anticipation to see a tiny, fast, sweet, fascinating little bird. Hummingbirds amaze me. They are tiny but fierce! I had no idea how territorial these little cuties are. We have a feeder with sweet nectar for the birds to suckle hanging on our porch. I was sitting quietly in hopes to get a close up shot of one those little boogers, then out of no where this one little guy comes directly at my face!! He was about a foot in front of me fast and furiously flapping his wings!! At first when I heard it, it sounded like a huge bee!! To my surprise it was what I had been waiting for! I think he thought I was going to start sucking down his juice or something!! ha! Well, he settled down and he did land on the feeder. I was able to get this shot of him. Sitting outside after work has become something I look forward to everyday after work. I can't wait to set my eyes on these tiny little fire balls. Their name definitely suits them. They sound like a loud hum when they flap their wings. Love it!!

So many blessings to share!

God has been showering His blessing on us. We are thankful and humbled by His gifts. Many prayers have been answered and must be shared: A new job w/health insurance, our doctor, who is amazing, is going to see Bob for free, yes free, until we are able to get health insurance going, a dear dear friend has paid off our auto loan so that we were able to keep our vehicle and she is allowing us to make reasonable payments to her! Family members have helped w/rent, food, money for utilities etc. in our time of need. Our son, whom I couldn't be me more grateful for and thankful to, has helped us out tremendously! We are so thankful and I am looking forward to the day, which is coming, where I can return the blessings that have been poured down on us. God is so so good.

I actually feel embarrassed at times when I think of how afraid and unsure I was during very difficult moments. I know I will always be attacked from the enemy, he is low and full of hate and wants nothing more from us than to doubt God. Well, guess what enemy, you will not win!!! MY LORD AND SAVIOR IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU!! HE IS BIGGER THAN WE CAN FATHOM AND NOTHING IS TO BIG FOR HIM, NOTHING OR NO ONE, HE IS EVERYTHING!! AMEN AMEN!!! All of the glory goes to our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, for answering our prayers.

Even in our darkest moments, He is there, carrying us, this we must remember.

Who ever reads this, my prayer is that you too will be blessed, trust, never give up hope, and always remain faithful to our Lord.

Change

Change-The act, process, or result of altering or modifying.

My life is filled with change at the moment. Some of it, change for the better, and some of it, change that I would rather not be dealing with. I guess this is what life is really all about isn't it? The constant change that we all experience as our days, weeks, months, and years go by.

We suppose that is what keeps us connected as humans. Living our lives day to day, dealing with what may come before us, I guess change is the only constant on our journey.

In order to deal with the change I must embrace it and move forward, otherwise I may not endure what has been set before me.

I'm thankful to the one true constant in my life, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Christ is my strength to pull me through, us through, whatever may come our way.....

Time to get movin'!

It's time to get off of my butt and get movin'! I have been in a slump for some time now. I'm breaking the cycle of being a couch potato! I've put back on the weight that I had lost and I'm not liking what I see and how I feel.

My jeans are starting to feel snug when I put them on, my belly is starting to protrude even further, I'm just waiting for someone to ask me when I'm due! ha! It's actually not funny.

Tomorrow is the kick off: weigh in, begin eating healthier, and get moving again! I can and will do this!

Being healthy and fit is my goal. This isn't about looking like a supermodel, that will never happen, but I can be more fit, that is what is important.

I'm looking forward to the days ahead. I'm going to not stress about this endeavor. I'm going to do my best to look at being healthy in a different light than I have in the past. I'm not missing out anything by giving up the stuff that is not good for my body, I'm doing something wonderful for me.

I have to start loving myself and that means taking care of my health. It is so true, without our health, we have noting. So, here's to being healthy and feeling good, cheers!!!!!
