Bob and I were able to get away last weekend on the 26th and 27th to see some friends that we hadn't seen in 3 years! We had the best time, it was a blessing. We were able to visit their church, then we all had lunch, thank you, Jon and Erin, it was so good to see you and your family!
They were telling us how they no longer watch tv and Bob asks Jon if he might be interested in selling his tv. This tv was a big deal to Jon, he's a huge sports fan, a huge Michigan fan.
(Go blue!!)
Well one thing lead to another, he and Erin decided to discuss it. I said to Erin, make Jon be fair, meaning fair to hisself, not us! ha! I didn't want Jon to cheat hisself, I knew he had paid a ton of cash for his tv!! Jon and Erin had a pow- wow then Erin comes over to our van and says, "Come back to the house, we have a great deal for you". We head over to their house,they head upstairs, I had no idea what they were up to. WOW!! They gave us their 60 in. tv, I'm not joking!
Bob and I are still in shock. We really shouldn't be, if you knew Jon and Erin, you would see that this is the kind of people they are. We love them and we are thankful for their giving hearts. Their generosity has caused a stirring in Bob and I, and the Lord knows we needed some stirring.
What really gets Bob and I, is not the gift, but the thought behind the gift, that's the real gift! : )
