Bele Chere

Bob,Andrew,Duane, and I went to Bele Chere today.Bele Chere is the largest outdoor festival in Western North Carolina, well actually, in the Southeast.It means, "beautiful living". It's a celebration of music, food, people, the arts, and people in general. This year marks the 30th year anniversary of, Bele Chere.

It was scorching hot! It was in the 90's!!! We walked around, enjoyed some freshly made lemonade enjoyed some music, grabbed an Italian sausage sandwich, listened to a man preach the word of God to a group of non-believers, painted on the Bele Chere wall 2008, enjoyed many of the different artisans from NC, it was neat to see so many people out and about enjoying the streets of Asheville. There were people of all ages and all walks of life, out having a great time.
