Sometimes it hurts

Wouldn't it be wonderful if life was always easy. Easy meaning, never filled with anger, hurt, sadness, disappointment, loss, loneliness, sickness, fear, or pain. Well, that isn't how life is, at least anybodies life I know. Most of the time my life is pretty darn good, it really is. I am blessed. I have a really wonderful husband, daughter, and son. We aren't perfect, no one is, nothing is. I'm blessed with a home to come home to at the end of a long day at work. A warm bed to climb into when I need to rest. Clothes to wear, food to eat, shoes to cover my feet, etc.

Then there are those moments when we hear something that has happened to a loved one, something so horrendous and unimaginable that we don't want to believe it. In that moment of hurt and pain we forget all of our blessings and we tend to focus on only the bad, ugly, negative things of this world. We question God, and wonder how can He allow something so awful to happen to one of His children, but He has to allow it so that there is free will. It stills hurts, it hurts deeply. I wish I could take away, erase the experience that my loved one had to endure, but I can't. I couldn't even say the right thing when they needed me to. God is the ONE that can help with this. HE is the answer. Only HE can stop the hurting and pain. Only HE can heal the wounds that lay so deep within. Lord, I pray for your healing for my loved one. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
