My interview with Babies R Us went really well. It's a supervisor position. I actually have experience with some of the job duties so hopefully that will help me land the job. It's more money, better hours, better benefits and it seems that they convey a family type work environment. I miss having that kind of atmosphere. Lately I have been so stressed from work that I'm not a very nice person to be around.
Yesterday, for example, right before I had to leave to go to my interview I nearly fired one of our shift managers. She was late three times this week. She knew I had an appointment that I could not miss and she shows up over an hour late. I was fuming. I made her go home. Bob was already on his way in to help out. So when right before my interview I had a meltdown. I had to pull it together and get into the right frame of mind and try and nail the interview. I pray to God I did well. It felt comfortable and I truly enjoyed the HR director, he was a super nice guy.
I just pray this is right for me. If not, I'll be fine and keep looking. I actually have another interview this Monday at Sears. So, actually this is kind of exciting to see where I will end up. I'm praying that I can find a job that I can be with for a very long time to come. I hate job hopping! I enjoy stability.
My ideal job would be a small office atmosphere with great benefits and pay with my own desk. Someplace that I could actually retire with.
I will see what happens. I do need more interview practice, I was a tad rusty, but overall, it went quite well.
